I grew up knowing that I wanted to spend my life helping others feel good about their selves. I chose the field that my grandmother loved so much, a cosmetologist. After years of working in the salon side-by- side with my grandma, I started teaching. It has been thirteen years ago that I changed over from a full time stylist to instructor. During three of these years I was Director of student Services for a local beauty school in Lincoln. It was a a great experience to learn the mechanics of running a school and helping students that needed that inspiration to find what makes them successful in life.
In 2006, I wrote an esthetics program for the school I work for. It was state approved and started running in 2007. While writing the program it stirred other interests in writing about the most incredible job in the world. I did not have a formal education to push forward my dreams of writing anything at the time. Over the last five years I earned my esthetics license and have started to earn my degree in business. I love this business so much that I felt a need to keep helping others love it just as much as I do. The one thing I have gained from the work I have been doing is the networking from incredible people. Be looking for some new things from me. My dream is to educate more than the ones just in our schools in this amazing profession.
